The heat.... The heat was enough to ward off most wary travelers who were just a little to curious for their own good. The heat rising up from the molten lava was certainly enough to make one sweat the moment they made it down those naturualy cut steps that lead down into the with in massive underground cavern. Wary adventurers had made wel lwithin the depths of such a lair never to return. If they managed to make it back out from the traps, the collasping paths, they certainly were never the same. Often missing companions that they had though they would bravely make it through with. Searching for treasure, adventure, or some damsel in distress in need of desperate saving.  None of which was certainly in sight and for those who had made the misfortune of making it deeper into the depths certainly saw things they would have never expected to see.
